ABOUT US
On November 13, 2005 we lost a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Jonathan Miller collapsed at work and was gone.

Shortly after his passing his friends and family decided not to let his widow run in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon alone, so they began to train.

Jon was not really a runner, but they ran the event together, getting engaged at the finish line in 2002.

So friends began running together, began socializing, remembering the great times they had with Jon and began to help one another heal.

Then they decided to keep running and try to make a difference. Inspired by Jon's favorite college T-shirt they became (Jonnie's) Goodguys. Doing Good things for others and having Good times with friends, supporting the numerous Good causes that are out there.

Jon's doctors and family are 90% certain that his fatal aortic dissection was the result of Marfan's Syndrome, a genetic connective tissue disorder. Had Jon known he had it there would have been steps he would have taken to ensure that he'd be here today with his wife and little girl. So Jonnie's Goodguys wants to spread the word and awareness of this syndrome.

We are not limited to running, you'll see us at the Rathskeller anytime Polka Boy is playing, we rally behind our Indianapolis Colts, we cheer on Star United and we volunteer where help is needed. We are not just about Marfan's... there are a lot of issues out there....

We want others to join us in the fight to unite for your own good causes and support us in our efforts.

Since its inception Jonnie's Goodguys have ran in 3 Indianapolis Mini Marathons, as full & half marathoners & relay teams in the Indianapolis Marathon, The Phoenix Rock n Roll Half Marathon and several smaller road races.
